The internet is one giant job resume

If you’re on Facebook or Twitter or any of the myriad social networks rolling out across the web, you might want to heed the The Word of US comedian and satirist Stephen Colbert.  All jokes aside, Colbert has important things to say about using social media, and the thrust of his cyber-safety advice is good.  Colbert’s take on social media paves the way to talking about privacy, user-generated content, and the long tail of the web.

So pay attention to Colbert.  Otherwise you may find yourself ‘surgically altering your appearance and getting rid of all your old friends’ to scrub up as the ‘ideal job candidate’.  Enjoy!
